Olympic Games – Noah Lyles Olympic champion, Devin Booker reacts curtly: “I’m still not…

JO Devin Booker et Noah Lyles

For months, NBA players have been at war with Noah Lyles after he denied them the title of world champion if he were crowned.

While the runner has just won the 100m at the Olympic Games, Devin Booker’s reaction proves that the hatchet is not buried.

It is obvious to American basketball players and fans: whoever wins the NBA champion title can also proclaim themselves world champion.

A theory refuted by many people outside the United States, but not only.

The US runner Noah Lyles, for example, made headlines with his comments on the subject a year ago.

Unsurprisingly, the athletics star received a lot of criticism after that, including from many NBA stars.

And unsurprisingly, the entire Team USA was present at the Stade de France to watch his 100m final at the Paris Olympic Games.

The message was clear: if Lyles didn’t win the gold medal, the backlash would be absolutely colossal.

Devin Booker still against Noah Lyles’ comments

Yes, but here it is, the sprinter did indeed win his race in 9.79 seconds and crowned himself Olympic champion for the first time in his career.

Enough to push a Knicks star to a fatalistic analyst, but on Team USA’s side, not everyone is ready to turn the tide.

Questioned by Sam Amick, Devin Booker wanted to set the record straight:

Constantly booed, Joel Embiid honest about the French public: “It’s not…

I still don’t agree with this comment…and it comes from the mouth of an Olympic champion… I have the impression that all the greatest talents in the world are in the NBA, so I think it’s harder to win this championship than an international competition…

But I have the impression that it was something that was close to his heart for a long time.

There was also some out of context, that’s in the past now… but to talk a little about his final, I was there, he won it, it was incredible, it’s a very good thing for our country, he was able to resist the pressure, congratulations to him.

Clearly, the debate won’t be buried tomorrow.

But D-Book’s comments didn’t only earn him positive feedback on the web:

The level of stupidity of these guys is mind-blowing.

Noah Lyles has succeeded in his bet, he who is now an Olympic champion after having already been a world champion.

However, do not count on Devin Booker and the other superstars of American basketball to concede to the runner that he is right…
