While in Paris this summer on the sidelines of the Olympic Games, Angel Reese recently returned to WNBA duty, and with flying colors.
Her performances led her to answer a question about…
Tim Duncan, and a possible helping hand from him.
It seems that it doesn’t take her much time to recover from her emotions.
On vacation in Paris a few days ago, Angel Reese didn’t hide her annoyance after having encountered some problems .
However, since her return to the WNBA courts, she has continued to shine under the colors of the Chicago Sky, as was the case against the Mercury, last Sunday:
Angel Reese Teases Possible Workout With Tim Duncan
Even though his shooting skills and his franchise’s collective record (11-16) leave something to be desired, Angel Reese is impeccable in one area, namely rebounding.
His average of 12.3 shots per game simply makes him the best in the league in this exercise.
As such, Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson recently saw fit to ask him about his interest in a potential workout with… Tim Duncan:
Angel Reese: Obviously, learning from a legend is always an incredible thing. Especially for me, who loves to get advice and inspiration from great players.
So of course that would be great, but I prefer to focus on the moment. I can’t really choose who I workout with, so I just make sure I’m ready for the moment.
With the WNBA offseason still far away, the 22-year-old center rightly says she wants to stay focused on her performance and that of her team.
That said, she is unsurprisingly open to working with Tim Duncan in the future, whose rebounding advice she seems to be fond of.
And after all, who better to give it to her than the Spurs icon.
Indeed, even though he never finished a season as the NBA’s best rebounder, the Big Fundamental had a career average of 10.8 rebounds.
He would therefore most certainly have valuable recommendations to offer to his young counterpart.
It remains to be seen whether the latter’s call will reach him and whether he will get a favorable response from her.
Although a rookie, Angel Reese already ranks as the best rebounder in the WNBA, without being satisfied with her current level in the field. Thus, she would welcome the help of an expert such as Tim Duncan to continue to improve.
