The 39-year-old star player showcased amazing skills on the court in the international competition, leading Team USA to clinch the gold medal.
However, after the conclusion of the men’s basketball competition in the Paris Olympics, James made a shocking statement regarding his future with Team USA for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
According to recent reports by NBA insider Donatas Urbonas, James, who was recently praised by Austin Reaves, does not see himself playing in the 2028 Olympics, which will be held in Los Angeles.

LeBron James: “I can’t see myself playing in Los Angeles 2028. I didn’t see myself playing in Paris 2024 too. But four years from now, I can’t see it.” Urbonas wrote in his latest post on X (formerly known as Twitter).
James believes that since he is currently 39 years old, he may be retired in four years. Therefore, it is clear that he will not be available to compete in the next Olympics, which will be held in four years.

Alongside stars like Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry, he helped secure a 6-0 streak that led to the team’s gold medal.
Due to his dominating performances throughout the competition, he was named the MVP of the men’s basketball tournament at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In the first game against Serbia, James recorded nine assists, seven rebounds, and 21 points. In the second game against South Sudan, the 20-time NBA All-Star scored 12 points, had five assists, and grabbed seven rebounds.
