LeBron James’ wife, Savannah, shared on Tuesday, on her podcast, Everybody’s Crazy, how she got emotional regarding her son Bronny.
The journey that the young guard had to the NBA wasn’t easy as he was always monitored by experts and fans. On top of that, he suffered from a heart attack during his time at USC, a scary moment for the James family.
The cardiac arrest that Bronny sustained was a surprise to everyone. According to reports at that time, the younger James was practicing with his teammates when it happened. The health scare set him back for some time but he was able to make a return to the court after recovering from it.

“I had a moment yesterday, which wasn’t crazy, it was just an emotional moment,” Savannah said. “I watched my boy do something that is — I’m just so proud. I’m so proud. I would say that’s the craziest thing ’cause I didn’t see it coming. It just hit me.”
Savannah started talking about it at the 00:25 mark.
In the end, it all worked out well for Bronny and his family. The LA Lakers took a chance on him despite his health scare in college and drafted him with the 55th pick. He is yet to show people what he can do in the NBA and fans are looking forward to seeing his debut.
James also played four NBA 2K Summer League games, averaging 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists. He struggled to make shots, only making 35% from the field and 15.8% from beyond the 3-point arc.
LeBron James’ teammate is excited to see the father-son duo on the court
Like most fans, Austin Reaves has expressed his excitement in seeing LeBron James and his son, Bronny, share the basketball court for the 2024-25 NBA season.
Reaves recently visited the Philippines, a country that showed him immense support, and shared how he’s looking forward to the James combo next season.
“For me to be able to be around him and see what that’s going to be like,” Reaves said (as per silverscreenandroll.com). “It’s going to be very cool for me. I also can’t wait to see Bronny grow. Obviously, he gets a bad rap because of who his dad is.”
Basketball fans expect history to be made when the moment comes. The Jameses will be the first father-son duo to share the court at the same time, if and when it happens. However, Bronny won’t have an easy entry into the league. He might have to prove himself worthy of the opportunity first.
